Type Set - Printer Drawers

I found these through the local newspaper. It was part of a large collection of printing press items that were being taken by a museum but a few drawers were left.

I got a great deal.

I know they can be hung as shadow boxes but I like them laying flat so you can see the font name.

I picture them as a display for jewelry at an art fair or market (not that I ever did one).

I was told not to worry about the ink stains, I'm not sure what to do about that. Any suggestions?

How about using a matte sealer on the ink stains. That way you keep the original patina and don't have to worry about it staining anything that comes in contact with it. I would use a matte or satin finish.
